Chance the Rapper, MadeinTYO, DaBaby – Video for ‘Hot Shower’
The three hip-hop artists play host to several rowdy dance parties in a diner, a gymnasium, a race track and a courtroom. There’s also a loose plot that follows Chance’s scuzzy lawyer trying to borrow money from him, but that doesn’t have much to do with anything besides Chance’s inability to pick up the phone.

Trent Reznor Breaks Silence on ‘Undeniably Hooky’ ‘Old Town Road’
When Trent Reznor first heard “Old Town Road,” he was surprised. The song used a short section of banjo from “34 Ghosts IV,” a track off of Nine Inch Nails’ mostly instrumental 2008 album Ghosts I–IV that Lil Nas X and producer YoungKio had souped up with trap beats and an unforgettable chorus. Hearing his music out of context, Reznor’s gut reaction was less critical than visceral.
“At first, when you hear your stuff turned into something else, it always feels awkward because it’s something that intimately came from you in some way,” Reznor tells Rolling Stone. He likens it to being taken aback at hearing the way Johnny Cash turned his sparsely gothic Downward Spiral track “Hurt,” which references drug use, into an acoustic country love song. “You feel a little bit violated, you know?” he laughs. “And then you get over that, and you realize it has become something else, and the Johnny Cash thing is incredible. It’s very flattering.
“The music from Ghosts that turned into ‘Old Town Road’ certainly didn’t come from as intimate a place as the song ‘Hurt’ did, but it’s still something that I remember what I was thinking about when we did it and then you hear it turned into this other thing — it feels strange at first,” he continues. “But I thought he did a good job with that.”

The Black Eyed Peas, J Balvin – RITMO
Black Eyed Peas have joined forces with J Balvin for a brand new single, “RITMO (Bad Boys for Life).” The upbeat track, which samples Corona’s “The Rhythm of the Night,” will appear on the soundtrack to Bad Boys for Life, which stars Will Smith and Martin Lawrence and arrives in theaters January 10, 2020.
In the official music video for the song, directed by Colin Tilley, the musicians perform the track in a neon-lit room with futuristic lights, costumes and Tron-esque dancers. The flashy, colorful video is intercut with clips from the film itself, mostly showcasing Smith and Lawrence in various car chases.
“I wanted to reimagine ‘The Rhythm of the Night’ by Corona and give it a minimal, futurist, afro-fused reggaeton vibe,” Black Eye Peas frontman will.i.am said in a statement. “The final song and video feel like the classic next level futurism that the Black Eyed Peas are all about.”

DDJ-XP2 Official Introduction with Mr Switch and Tigerstyle
Double Trouble: Meet the DDJ-XP2 DJ controller for rekordbox dj and Serato DJ Pro software.
This low-latency, highly robust unit maximizes new versions of both DJ performance applications.
Raise your game with the DDJ-XP2. Whether you use rekordbox dj or Serato DJ Pro, you can get the most from the new features in the latest versions of both DJ applications with this upgraded DJ controller. The DDJ-XP2 adds to the functionality of the popular DDJ-XP1 but retains the solid build quality and intuitive layout of the original unit.
Let your fingers fly at 32 robust, multicolored Performance Pads (16 on each deck) and enjoy lightning-fast responses. Thanks to its sturdy construction, with a non-slip rubber surround, the DDJ-XP2 allows you to hit as hard as you like. Get creative with tactile control of the Key Shift and Key Sync features in either of the compatible applications and dynamically apply your chosen effect by running your finger along the Slide FX touch strips.
The DDJ-XP2 ushers in powerful new pad modes in rekordbox dj and Serato DJ Pro. Make full use of Transport mode, which assigns transport controls such as play, pause, cue, and pitch up/down to the Performance Pads on the DDJ-XP2. And, for the first time ever, use 16 pads to control a single mode in Serato DJ Pro. Until now, Serato DJ Pro has only supported up to eight pads in any mode.
If you’ve used the DJM-S9 before you’ll be pleased to know the DDJ-XP2 inherits the looping section from the flagship scratch mixer. It’s a small upgrade, but an important one that will help you feel more comfortable and confident during performances. Plus, the new Silent Cue feature in Serato DJ Pro works the same way as the existing feature for rekordbox dvs (license key included) – enabling you to silently cue up tracks with the faders open on the mixer and trigger them instantly from Hot Cue points.

The Official End of Itunes
As first reported in June, Apple has decided to end a nearly two decade era with iTunes. This update comes with the new software, MacOS Catalina.
Instead of the iTunes application, Apple has decided to curate three separate apps – Apple Music, Apple Podcasts, and Apple TV. Users’ personal libraries will be automatically sorted into the new applications. This innovation is new and exciting, unless you’re a DJ. Apple Music fails to incorporate XML file support, an organizational component, which originally made it simple for DJs to transfer data from iTunes to applications such as Rekordbox and Traktor.
Without this file support, tracks won’t automatically stay organized in set playlists when imported into these applications. Because of this issue, Apple is warning artists to wait to update and to continue to use their preferred software until developers find solutions. Traktor and Serato are already releasing beta versions of their software, while Rekordbox is still holding out.
Fortunately, Microsoft Windows users with the iTunes application will not be affected by this update.

Avicii Wax Figure at Madame Tussauds New York City
Each musical generation has its icons, but as rock hero Elton John sings, some candles burn out long before the legends of their life.
Tim Bergling, better known to fans as Avicii, is a standout figure in the electronic dance music scene. His songs “Levels,” “Wake Me Up,” “Seek Bromance,” “Silhouettes” and more helped shape the sound of dance throughout the 2010s and into today. His music leaves a lasting legacy, but he sadly chose to leave this world in April of 2018.
When creating a wax figure, a team of 20 people in the U.K. typically take about 200 measurements of the subject, but of course, this had to be handled differently. Designers instead studied hours and hours of footage, catching Avicii at as many angles as they could to create the proper dimensions and to really capture the vibrant energy with which the DJ and producer delivered his most memorable performances.
Most significant was the input from his parents, Klas Bergling and Anki Lidén, who have always stressed the importance of honoring their son’s memory in the most authentic, accurate and respectable manner.
