On July 17, Kaskade added to his ever-growing resume by being commissioned as the first headlining act to perform to the general public at Los Angeles’ new SoFi Stadium. There hadn’t been any official word on whether or not the Insomniac-hosted evening would be documented for both those fortunate enough to be in attendance and those who experienced the show through VictorVisits’ YouTube upload, but Kaskade came through in the clutch as he always does, unexpectedly sharing a professionally streamed 4K video of his two-hour set.

Newly minted powerhouse duo Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak have returned to share Silk Sonic‘s second single titled “Skate,” which is slated to appear on their highly anticipated album An Evening With Silk Sonic later this year.

The funky, retrofitted new track follows the pair’s critically lauded debut single together which landed earlier this spring, “Leave The Door Open.” Now Silk Sonic is back for more, delivering “Skate” with a summer-themed music video directed by Mars, Florent Déchard, and Philippe Tayag.

Splice is expanding its subscription plans, adding new custom-built Splice-branded plugins, as well as new video tutorial videos with artists and producers as part of Splice Skills.

We already reported last week that Splice has launched Bridge, a plugin that lets users communicate with their DAW directly from the Splice sample browser. That means samples will be previewed in the BPM of your track and the key can be shifted too. You can then drag and drop any files you like into your session.

Skrillex has teamed up with Colombian artist J Balvin for a new single, ‘In da Getto’.

Including samples of 1993 track ‘In de Ghetto’ by David Morales and the Bad Yard Club, the song is accompanied by an Alfred Marroquín-directed video, featuring TikTok star Khaby Lame and dancer Mufasa. Watch it below.

‘In da Getto’ is the third music video Skrillex has released this year, following the garage-band inspired visuals for his single ‘Too Bizarre’ with Rae Sremmurd, Swae Lee, and Siiickbrain. Skrillex also released ‘Supersonic (My Existence)’ and ‘Butterflies’, featuring Fout Tet and Starrah, last month.

The slew of new Skrillex material comes after the DJ and producer promised new music in the spring.
