Each musical generation has its icons, but as rock hero Elton John sings, some candles burn out long before the legends of their life.

Tim Bergling, better known to fans as Avicii, is a standout figure in the electronic dance music scene. His songs “Levels,” “Wake Me Up,” “Seek Bromance,” “Silhouettes” and more helped shape the sound of dance throughout the 2010s and into today. His music leaves a lasting legacy, but he sadly chose to leave this world in April of 2018.

When creating a wax figure, a team of 20 people in the U.K. typically take about 200 measurements of the subject, but of course, this had to be handled differently. Designers instead studied hours and hours of footage, catching Avicii at as many angles as they could to create the proper dimensions and to really capture the vibrant energy with which the DJ and producer delivered his most memorable performances.

Most significant was the input from his parents, Klas Bergling and Anki Lidén, who have always stressed the importance of honoring their son’s memory in the most authentic, accurate and respectable manner.

As fans continue to wait for Kanye West’s new album ‘Jesus Is King’, the rapper has announced that he will only make gospel music from now on.

This past weekend, Kanye West held a series of surprise events in the United States, including a Sunday Service event in Queens, NY and album listening parties in Chicago and Washington Heights, NYC.

The listening parties, dubbed ‘Jesus is King: A Kanye West Experience’, featured a screening of Kanye’s IMAX film Jesus is Lord from director Nick Knight, as well as a listening session of the new album ‘Jesus Is King’. According to Andrew Barber of Fake Shore Drive, this is also when Kanye announced, “he is no longer making secular music. Only gospel from here on out.”

According to Billboard, Kanye told the crowd what the album represents to him: “New York City is definitely one of my hometowns. I wasn’t fully saved during Coachella. I came to know the truth and joy of Jesus. This album is an expression of the gospel.”

The new app displays the total number of people who are listening to the artists’ tracks worldwide. Those stats will continue to update for the first week the app rolls out live. The update is rolling out now to iOS and Android users, with desktop versions also part of the platform mix. Also included in the update is more information about recent milestones, like new followers or playlist adds.

The new Home tab features helpful information for getting music on Spotify. It also features presentations from the Co.Lab and advice from some of the top artists on Spotify.

It’s confirmed. Fans will have their hands on a new Kanye West album before the month is over.

Following his Sunday Service to Atlanta on Sunday (Sept. 15) with over 600 attendees in the building that included T.I. and Tiny, 2 Chainz, Chris Tucker and more, Yeezy popped up in the small town of Batesville, Ind. to attend a free concert to help raise money for Infinity’s Song and singer Victory Boyd–signees of Roc Nation. While addressing the crowd at one point, a fan-captured video shows ‘Ye confirming his new album, Jesus Is King, will be out on Sept. 27.
