Cardi B has released the video for her recent single “Press.” In the NSFW visual, directed by Jora Frantzis, Cardi B finds herself on trial for a crime, complete with a media and fan frenzy befitting her celebrity status. It’s more than likely a reference to her recent strip club assault case, but also just a commentary on all the attention she now receives as a major artist. If nothing else, Cardi B certainly changes the rules of proper courtroom fashion in the video.

“Press” is Cardi B’s second standalone single—following “Money”—since the release of her debut album Invasions of Privacy in 2018. She’s also made recent appearances on Offset’s “Clout,”DJ Khaled’s “Wish Wish,” Bruno Mars’ “Please Me.” Watch the video for “Press” below.

After dropping off his celebrity-packed music video for “Enzo” last month, DJ Snake has returned with the summertime-ready “Loco Contigo,” recruting J Balvin and Tyga to join him on the lively new single. Along with the song’s release, the trio has also dropped off the official visuals in which the artists take to the desert for a party with colorful characters and a retro pink convertible.

The video was directed by Colin Tilley and paints a vibrant backdrop for the high-energy record. DJ Snake’s signature combination of Latin and pop sounds are in full-swing for the track, while J Balvin jumps in to add his familiar reggaeton-tinged vocals over the beat. Tyga enters the mix with his rap verse to cap it all off.

Today at WWDC 2019 (Apple’s annual developer conference) we heard the first official news about a much-talked about development to music management: the end of iTunes. We wrote about this in April, and it’s true: in the upcoming macOS Catalina release, iTunes is no more. The OS will instead come with three apps that replace it: Apple Music, Apple Podcasts, and Apple TV.

As far as we can tell, DJs will only benefit from this simplification. The WWDC presentation that addressed this app segmentation was highly critical of the bloat that iTunes has contracted over the years – even going as far to joke about how adding Calendar, Mail, and a Dock to the software would have been realistic additions.

The new Apple Music app has two functions: to manage local music, and to browse/explore music that you might stream from the Apple Music streaming service. As a result, a lot of the functionality of iTunes that DJs require will be retained, while segmenting out features that have nothing to do with music (iPhone syncing, podcast streaming, movie and TV show watching).

If you’re like a lot of DJs and use iTunes as the backbone of your DJ library, we suspect you’ll be completely fine, and that using the software will be less painful. Your local library is still there, playlists are still available – and DJ software integrations are likely to work just fine.

The only content your music library will compete with will be Apple Music’s streaming content. Yes, streaming has come more into central view in this app, and will likely get all of the attention and most future features.

Two years after the Fyre Festival controversy, Ja Rule stands by the idea that it was a dope concept.

On Wednesday morning (June 5), Ja appeared on Power 105 The Breakfast Club to speak on various projects and the Fyre Festival disaster. The former Murder Inc. artist, who co-founded the festival with Billy McFarland, made it clear where he stands on the matter.

“Here’s the real shit,” Ja said. “Yes, my brother supported me. The Fyre Festival was an amazing idea. Let’s not act like every fucking body wasn’t coming to the Fyre Festival.”
